When applying this electrostatic enamelling technique, enamel particles are pre-loaded by an electrostatic charge so that they adhere to the surface as they are projected to it by means of an airflow.

The enamel settles on the workpiece forming a layer with low electrical conductivity that creates a controlled and uniform thickness.
